yES, i AM FINALLY TURNING 26. I know i look great for 26 RIght? HARDY HAR HAR! I can only dream of looking 26 and feeling 26. I would like to know what the heck happens when you hit 30. I was told that things changed but wow did they. Wrinkles, the awful C word (cellulite for you youngsters) and just not being in your twenties anymore. So this year I am 32.......doesnt feel much different YET........whats your age horror story? PLease share! So today is always special because I was born on my moms birthday so we get to share this day! Which is pretty cool. I love her more than anything so I enjoy always being with her on OUR day! Happy Birthday Mom! We went to eat at Cheesecake Factory the other night and ummmm...cheesecake was yummy!!

We have like 20 birthdays in our family in May. I guess Aug and Sept are busy months for our crew :) Phoenix's birthday is TOMORROW! Yes, he didnt want to share a day with mom and I so I spent that birthday in labor (getting paid back for my mom) and he was born on the 18th!
More on him tomorrow!

Happy Mommy's Day!!!

To all of the wonderful Mothers in the blog world.................HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I think this day should come around more than once a year. Ya know, think about it. Us mothers work our bottoms off(big or small) to keep everyone happy, healthy, clean, fed, on time, clothed, active, content and LOVED!! So we should at least get two days a year that our lil ones HAVE to be nice to us and HAVE to behave and not fight! We should be allowed to sit in the tub with a beer (or wine for your fancier people) and read a book (or a social mag) or we should as adults be able to look into our own mommy's eyes and just realize what they have done for us! But I guess one day will just have to do. Maybe we could have a Woman Rock this World Day! Now that sounds like a plan. OK, anyway I hope you all got to do Whatever you wanted to do today. My day started last night, I received a brand new pizza cutter from Phoenix (we make alot of homemade pizzas and last week my cutter broke....wow he actually remembered!) a Swivel sweeper from Molly ( i mentioned a while back I wanted one..she is SOOO good!) and from my wonderful sweet hubby a beautiful cedar front porch swing! I have wanted a new one for a while and he hung it late last night and we just sat in the rain and listened and swang (is that a word)! (swing, swang, swung..right???) It was perfect!! He had to work at the hall today so me and the kids were on our own. We went to church and then to Subway for lunch with my sister and mom. Then I took a 3 hour nap on my moms couch...what is it about your moms house that is just sooo peaceful and comfy? Is it her smell, is it the notion of being safe, or is it just because she is there? Im not sure maybe its all of the above. My mother is truly the greatest mom, I just cant imagine a better one? Well maybe if she baked for me. ummm...
Ok so then my 3 sisters, mom and our adopted sister and her mom, we all went to see Made of Honor (the ultimate chick flick) and wow yes Patrick was as sexy as ever. IF not more.....yummy. THis is defiantly worth the money and gas to go! Grab a group of girls and go see it. We laughed and awwwed alot then at the end my two single sisters said "yeah whatever...so not reality" it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!
So anway I hope you all had a great day and I pray for all of you happiness and remembering that our children are a gift from God, the greatest gift of all. Enjoy them, listen to every sweet lil laugh and cherish the small things. My son will be 13 next week and trust me it goes fast! THank you all for sharing your sweet lil ones with me. I am honored to sneak into your lives and capture the true essence of them. Just being them!

I met this lil sweetie recently. Miss A~ is just Adorable! She is got the cutest lil smile and laugh! We had so much fun and she had alot of very sassy poses for me! A rainy day....

This family has been customers since day one of my business. They are dear to my heart and I have watched Lil J grow up, our first session was when he was about 3 months old and now he is a Big Boy and a Big brother! They live in Atlanta so I dont get to see them that often, so anyway the day of our session it was very rainy and kinda yucky so we just stayed on the front porch.



This is my new favorite picture...........I know I say that alot.......but I do mean it! This just "whispers to my heart"..........if you knew just how gentle this Grandad is and how he is sooo patient and so loving with these boys. Actually with everyone, he is just an awesome Ole' soul!


THis is Lil B~ he was not feeling well and was not into me AT all~ which you all know I just cant stand it! So I tried all my tricks but not today! You can see in Grandma's hands~yes blackmail...cheerios...didnt work either......but I did get this lil sneak grin! But I think the image above was worth the whole day!!
Anyone that knows "J" knows what his favorite thing is.....one guess....its green.....loud....and Granddaddy has alot of them....yep...John Deere Tractors....
We took his picture on this porch a long time ago...wow how he has grown!
So after just a few minutes we decided today was just not going to be our day. So we go inside and pack up the camera, and the adult talk begins....well we look over and this is what we see. Yes, you know a babe is sick when this is what he does all on his own........so sweet and pitiful!
