kentucky.

A late Happy Independence Day to you all! I know each family celebrates a lil different but most always have sparklers! I just "HEART" sparklers. We went to the fireworks booth to buy our stash for the boys to have fun with and me and Molly go straight for the sparklers! I know they are such a girly firework!! At night when we were running around with them waving around, its such a freeing feeling. It made me feel young and carefree for just a moment. Priceless! Here is Molly and how she feels about them :)
Our 4th's are usually spent in KY with my grandparents and our family reunion. We are from a very very small town in KY. Its slow and simple. Here are some of the hundreds of images I took while we were there. All of these were taken on my familys farm. It belonged to my great grandparents. I am always amazed how I feel while Im there and how so many memories come back when you step foot on old family land.

THis young man is my great grandfathers brother!! Isnt he adorable. He is the last of the original family!
And of course here are my wonderful beautiful so sweet so funny so simple and so loveable grandparents!!

mommy & me.

There is a connection between moms and their babes. You can feel it, sense it and I believe you can even capture it in a portrait. I love it when moms will jump in a session and play with their babes. As a mother and as a photographer I know my kids need more pictures of me and them together. I love looking back at pictures of me and my mother when I was a baby and as I grew how she changed. They are priceless! So moms...jump in and have fun. Your kids dont care if you are having a bad hair day or if you have gained a few pounds, they just love you!

Meet lori and miss o~ what a fun and wonderful connection! We are shooting these for personal use and for a magazine, I just love them!

meet big brother E~ who didnt want anything to do with any pictures. But was very excited to sit and "read" to his lil sis. He said "I cant read" and I said thats ok just tell her the story. SO he did and you could see how excited he was...then he looked up at mom and said "am I reading?" He was so proud!

I just simply adore this image. I would love to have one like this of my two. I can see it has a large canvas, sippy cup and all! I just love the way they are connecting with each other!
again..priceless.
Thanks for a great morning Lori. I hope you enjoy this lil sneak peek. I will talk to you soon!

sweetness.

boys.boys. boys.
I am still surrounded by boys. Where have all the girls gone? Of course these two were just as sweet as pie and so handsome. I have photographed them since they were about two weeks old so it is always such a shock to see how they have grown. I must be getting old! :)

This first image is just wonderful to me. What a priceless moment. Big brother pulling lil brother in an old red wagon...I mean really. Jenn, you need to hang this large in your home! It just..whispers to my heart!

Yes, they look so much alike.

I loooove his white spiky hair in this! Not to mention his sweet serious face.
Would you look at the color of his eyes....dont you wish you could make colors up like God can.
Lil C is a HUGE sports fan. He loves football and baseball. So of course his cap had to be in the portraits. I love his one of him jumping. So darn cute! This is one of my fav spots and the kids always think Im totally coo~coo for putting them in the middle of the road!
I love my job on these days. As with everyone alot of days I under appreciate my job and what a blessing God has given me. Then a session will make me remember that I am able to capture children doing what they do best. Being THEM! They dont know any different. Pure honesty. The biggest gift God gave us is our children. We must remember these wonderful moments with them. We must teach them about so many things and we must capture them as only they are! They grow up so fast and pictures will help us remember what a gift they are! So..on that note I am going to go play with my kiddos!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
